Saving this old painted beauty was important to us. So that's exactly what we did. This home was built in 1896 and we lifted it so that a brand new foundation could be poured; as well as all new electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. This way you get the best of both worlds. An old house encumbering lots of Portland charm with the comfort and amenities of a new home.
Sometimes homes built in the 1930's can have an abundance of small rooms and feel quite cramped. Opening walls up and adding necessary beams creating todays "great room" can make older homes feel much larger. Giving it a modern layout while still keeping that original charm!
